The items that the Food Bank is in need of are: snack foods, Jelly, canned pasta (i.e. Chef Boyardee), prepared noodles and rice mixes, boxes macaroni and cheese, chicken broth, canned green vegetables, canned beans (all kinds), cake mixes and icing, muffin and brownie mixes, cereal and oatmeal, dried soups, personal products such as shampoos/conditioners, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
Thank you for your support of this important and on-going ministry.
Our annual St. Francis Day celebration with the Blessing of the Animals will be on Sunday evening, October 2, at 5:00 p.m., in the upper parking lot (or indoors, in the event of rain). Please bring your animal friends (leased or in a pet carrier) to have them blessed at this special service. If your pet is very skittish around others, you can bring a picture instead.
The First SECOND Friday Book Club (for October only) meets at 7:30 in the Bolmer Room each month. They usually gather at a local restaurant for dinner and fellowship beforehand. All are most welcome to join us. Please contact Monica Devanas with any questions.

WHAT: A fun evening of delicious international food, Tricky Tray, auction items and fellowship.
WHO: Open to St. Barnabas members, friends, and community.
WHERE: Trinity Episcopal Church, 33 Mercer Street, Princeton
WHEN: Saturday, October 15, 2011 5:30 – 8:00PM
WHY: To raise funds to support our outreach ministries, including HIV/AIDS awareness programs in Africa, and the struggles against homelessness, hunger, domestic violence, racism and addiction.
Last year, the International Benefit Dinner was a huge success – beyond what we imagined. Now, the excitement is starting to build as we have received the first ads for our 2011 International Benefit Dinner! This year the Ad Book will include highlights of our outreach ministries and we need everyone’s help to secure ads. You can help by getting just three ads – by asking your doctor, dentist, chiropractor, hair dresser, auto mechanic, etc. to donate $25 to have their business card included. Other size ads are also available – forms and introduction letters are available at the church, or email office @ stbarnabas-sbnj.org. TOGETHER we can have another very successful FUNdraiser!
