MRD Cookbook Recipe Submission

Please submit your family recipes for the St. Barnabas Cookbook. You may do this by completing the paper form on the table in the Welcoming area, or via the interactive form  here. The third option is to just copy your handwritten or typed recipes and submit. Several original recipes in any food category will be considered from each family. Those that are entered in the cookbook will be printed with your name. The cookbook will be professionally printed and bound. Questions may be addressed to Pauline Devonish or Leon Merriweather or any member of the MRD Team.

Clergy Coverage/Pastoral Care

Please be assured that we are in good hands while Mother Sheelagh is recuperating.  Father Greg Bezilla will celebrate at both services on January 16th and January 23rd.  Deacon Cathy is on call for pastoral emergencies, with back-up from area priests if needed.  On January 30th, we have a special treat as Bishop Councell will preach and preside at the 10:30 service!!  We invite EVERYONE (including those who normally attend the 8:30 service) to please join us in welcoming him.  Let him see for himself how alive we are and how well we are doing! The parish is invited to bring items for coffee hour.  For those unable to attend the 10:30 service with the Bishop, Father Bill will hold a quiet 8:30 service.

Bring your jar(s) this coming Sunday and they will be added with the rest to donate to the food pantry.  Also coming up is Souper Bowl Sunday on February 6th; please bring canned soup.  The pantry is bare, so your generosity is needed and appreciated.

The Pageant “Follow the Star” was a success

The Pageant “Follow the Star,” celebrating the arrival of the Magi, was wonderful and we are profoundly grateful to Samantha Romine who directed and produced it again and to the youth and children who participated.  It is always a joy to see the participation of our youth in the activities of this church.  We are blessed.
